History:

Magfa Information Technology Development Center started its activities in 1981 under the name of Iran Center for Industrial Research and Development (ICIRAD) with the objective of supporting the country's industry and to help in its expansion. The center offered engineering services, introduced new production technologies and brought forth scientific and technical information. Until 1997, projects dealt mainly with the car industry and automation. Later, the focus shifted towards new technologies such as Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Biotechnology, New Materials, Environment and Energy. In 2001, ICIRAD changed its name to Gostaresh Center for Research and Development (GCRAD).

Due to its expertise in ICT, the center assumed the responsibility of developing and promoting Information and Communication Technology and in 2003 was renamed to Magfa Information Technology Development Center.

Mohammad Reza Hairi Yazdi, Ph.D.
Dr. Hairi Yazdi received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Amir Kabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He obtained his Ph.D. in Robotics Control from Imperial College, University of London, England.

Alireza Emami, Ph.D.
Dr. Emami holds a B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Engineering from Tehran University, Iran, as well as a B.Sc. degree in Economics from Murray State University, Kentucky, USA. He obtained his M.Sc. & Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Utah State University, USA.

Mehrdad Karegari , M.Sc
Mr. Karegari is currently seeking Ph.D degree in system engineering from The Imam Hossein University, holds a M.Sc. degree in System Management from The Higher Research Institute, as well as a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, and also a M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from Iran University of science & Technology.
