the mobile phone use has also shown a significant increase. It’s use is not
limited as a telephone but also relies on added value services to provide

and communications applications, has considered Short Messaging Systems (SMS) as
one of its main focus areas in providing added value services.
Basis for MAGFA’s SMS activities
MAGFA utilizes the best international indicators to provide a highly
secure environment and utilizes diverse messaging solutions along with consorted
continuous efforts to place itself in a unique position in terms of the product,
technical and specialized knowledge. With the opportunity to connect with the
messaging center of the Mobile Communications Company as the main operator of
mobile phone systems in Iran as well as Irancell short messaging Company as the
second operator of mobile phones, and other short messaging systems operators in
the country and many International mobile operators, MAGFA uses SMPP protocol
with ability to process more than 1,000 messages per second in order to provide
the necessary infrastructures for providing high quality service in this area.
MAGFA Messaging services and solutions:
Web based services: MAGFA provides these services by using two
intermediary software packages with simple and effective performance for users.
The first messaging package contains services for sending short message to one
or more recipients, or one or more groups, sending message at a pre-designated
date and time, sending daily, weekly messages, sending flash as well as
congratulation messages. In addition to all the services from the first package,
the second package includes messages for games using short messages to respond
with passwords or a particular selection as well as polling services using short
messages to indicate selection. Users of both MAGFA web based packages can use
the intermediary application to view all messages sent and received and control
the flow of send messages to ensure its receipt and its reception by the mobile
cell phone. The system also offers various reporting options in excel format.
Professional Solutions: In addition to ready to use web based
services, the communications systems unit at MAGFA provides a wide range of
professional messaging solutions including:
- API SMPP: For customers requiring continuous
connections and sending of fast messages in high volumes. In this method,
the user can use software available at the source and the SMPP protocol to
connect with MAGFA’s messaging system and utilize all of the services
offered by the protocol for sending and receiving messages in English and
Farsi as well as long and flash messages.
- API Web Service: Provides the opportunity for customers
to connect with MAGFA messaging using SOAP protocol through HTTP and HTTPS.
Clients are able to send short messages in English, Farsi as well as long
messaging and flash messages. Clients are able to review the status of the
message being sent an able to receive short messages through web service
methods.
- API HTTP/HTTPS: As one the simplest method of
connections with MAGFA, it facilitates the sending of English, Farsi and
long messages while messages can be received using Relay Traffic service.
- API Database: This service is available through
subscription to a database of messages between the client software and MAGFA
messaging systems. It provides the opportunity to send and receive short
messages.
- API COM Object: Clients using windows based programming
environments can use existing methods in this solution to download the
option of sending messages into their personal software.
- Outlook Services Group: Using these services, all
available options offered by outlook is made available to users through
messages. When the Inbox contains an email, the text of email is send to the
recipient via a message. The option to send a response to invitations
available in outlook is also available.
- Mobile Applications: MAGFA communications systems enjoy
the capability to implement applications for mobile telephone. The available
software is adaptable to more than 300 phones available in the market, with
suitable graphic capability in several languages including Farsi and
possibility of software updates via SMS and GRPS.
MAGFA Short Messaging Value Added Systems
